I'd buy YuruYuri, but only if it gets a physical release. Here's hoping for one.

(No, I haven't read scans of it.)

Ya know, I'm more intrigued to see how BL manga-ka like Eiki Eiki and Taishi Zaou tackles the yuri genre so I'll definitely check out Haru Natsu Aki Fuyu. Hopefully that does well so they can get their next yuri work, Love DNA XX.

Wait, I though Erica Friedman was against Yuruyuri and 90% of Yuri outside of the Het/Angst yuri formula. Now she's publishing the very Manga she went against? What made her change from her ego? Money? LoL.

Anyway's, its great JManga is bringing more digital Manga aboard but I don't see myself buying it. Unless they suddenly add Print-on-demand on their site, I don't see myself buying digital content anytime soon. I'd rather read it in physical form than read it on my computer. Razz

She is. I think this is about making a profit.

I had a feeling before coming in here that you had been waiting to whine about it.

JManga eh? Has any title available via JManga ever had a physical volume release? I'm curious. Well, I'm a fan of the YRYR anime anyway. Don't think I'd enjoy it as much without the seiyuu.

Jmanga has talked about the possibility of a Print-on-demand feature, but no, they don't put out print editions. However, they do sometimes have digital copies of print editions (Like Girl Friends) since the digital rights and print rights are two different things.

Last I checked, I'm free to dislike something.

Eric Friedman is indeed not fond of Yuru Yuri (The anime, for example, did not win her over), but she operates a very small publishing company with limited resources and influence, so she probably had to be pragmatic and license what titles she could get. Why somebody responsibly not allowing her tastes to override her business should encourage insulting sneers and disdain, I cannot know, but it's a pretty lousy thing to do.
