I've never been excited about a Naruto movie, but I am for this one! It looks awesome. A crazy tough Hinata who's straight-up with Naruto?! A Sasuke that flirts with Sakura?! AWESOME.
I'm super psyched I'll be in Japan while it's playing. Definitely going to go see it. |

Gotta love when people seem to join up just to complain about stuff.
I'm actually excited about this movie, which says a lot since I've been kind of 'meh' about every Naruto movie past the original 3. |

And what makes you so sure of that? Then again, most of the Naruto movies have been complete and utter crap. The first and fourth movies were good, but the second one was boring, the third one was wall-bangingly stupid, the fifth one added a Mary Sue in the form of the Zero Tailed beast, I didn't see the one after that, the seventh one was inconsistent with canon, and I have yet to see the eight one. In short, most of them seemed like 90-minute filler episodes. The only reason I look forward to this one is because Kishimoto, someone that actually cares about the source material, is doing the story. |

Hate to break it to you, but most series-based anime movies could be described as 'filler'. That's not the point of movies, though. It's for a fun, unique adventure. Then again, if you're one of the kind who despises when the anime does the slightest thing different from the manga, they may not be for you.
Anyway.. Teten VS Hidan? Hinata VS Narto? Should be fun. Blood Prison was pretty good, and this looks to be even better. |

Animation looks remarkably like an average episode of the TV show. Far removed from the better days of the Naruto movies, production-wise. Only good parts were Hiroyuki Yamashita's part, most likely Tenten vs. Hidan, and the smoke effects right after which looks Masashi Kudo's work. Tetsuya Nishio is an animation director, so at least there should one section of the movie that can be said to be of movie-quality.
Well, the main reason I've been looking forward to this movie is because of Kishimoto's involvement, so at least that hasn't changed. |
