It's good to hear that the guy's getting things back together after the border-crossing debacle.

I'm still firmly of a mind that laws need to generally be a lot less stringent in regards to comics. Even if he had lolicon hentai on his computer or on his person, I don't think that should be illegal... but then that's another topic I suppose.

Furthermore, from what I've heard about Canada's border security, they really need to fire some corrupt workers as well as to clarify much more clearly what is and is not allowed to be brought into the country.

There shouldn't be any "border security" that is searching literature or computer hardware either. The only legitimate purpose for security is to look for things that are an actual danger to other people.

I'm strongly averse to sexual depictions of minors, but I also staunchly support freedom of expression. So long as a form of art isn't directly infringing on the rights of a real person, it should be permitted by the law. In that respect, I support the CBLDF's position on this case.
