Having read the first novel and in the middle of reading the second novel, I'd suggest that a better translation of the title is She Has Chuunibyou, But I Want to Love Her! (replace Chuunibyou with "Adolescent delusions if you'd like). It is a romantic comedy and the main character doesn't suffer from it anymore, so why would the title be "I have"? I don't want to sound rude, but I don't want readers to obtain the wrong impression from the title and have misconceptions about the work before it's aired.

I stilll think it's humorous that KyoAni didn't think this novel deserved to win their award contest and yet they thought it good enough to use as a base for a TV anime series.

As a manuscript/novel, the writing is terrible. It didn't deserve to win the Grand Prize. As a story for an anime that could be adapted, it's interesting enough to be animated. Their staff could iron out the wrinkles in the plot and make the story better visually. With Ishihara supervising and Hanada composing the story, I feel it's got a good shot of being entertaining. |
