Yup your right, not like funimation they couldnt get the orginal cast of the shana series, not even one cast reprise his or her role, aside of that, can't wait for my persona 4 blu ray to arrive ^^ |

And I really wish people would stop with the whole "screw funimation for not getting the old VAs for Shana" don't you think they would've done it if it was worth the money? Yes, they would've, but Shana ins't nearly as popular as Persona, and Sentai is making a smart market move by pushing the series out when all those new Persona 4 games are coming out. |

Is it just me, or does Chie not sound like herself from the PS2 version of the game?
Could have sworn she had a deeper voice...unless it was the commercial voiceover right at the beginning, there. |

I believe Chie was replaced with a new VA. Both her and Teddys voice actors were not available to return for their roles so they were replaced.

I haven't played P4 Arena yet, but I heard that those two had new voice actors there.

Chie's new VA doesn't sound anything like the original at all.
It's like they didn't even try to get someone who could imitate it. |

They do have new VAs. Having played P4A I have to say I like Chie's new VA and Teddie's is almost spot on.

I'm really debating whether or not it's worth hearing the dub. The english cast is great and all but it seems like Bosch is doing both Adachi and Yu from what I heard and hearing the exact same voice from both is gonna get grating...

Yeah, not a big fan of the change of Chie's voice. I mean, it's okay, but the original voice suited her character a lot better.
But aside from her and Teddie, the rest of the cast is back so at least there's that. |

It honestly sounds closer to her Japanese version (Yui Horie), where she had a "Spunky" voice instead of trying to have a more "Mature" Voice like the original Persona 4 did. I like it better myself. She has the new voice actor in both Arena and Golden as well, so if you plan on getting those you better get used to it! |
