Not surprised, CLAMP tries to do so much all the time. Just look at their unfinished series.

I think a House of 1000 Manga article went over this. Apparently CLAMP is pretty much independant and not connected to any publisher like most other manga artists are. I suppose this gives them a bit more freedom, but it also means that they have to work on multiple series (in addition to art commisions for magazines, etc.) in order to keep the income flowing. This also means that if a magazine running one of their works folds, that means they can't continue the series unless another magazine is interested in doing so. I think this is actually what happened with Clover |
