I was a big fan of the original Digimon Adventure, which this game seems to resemble more closely than some of the later games in the series.

It looks like tons of fun, and I would buy it in a heartbeat if it were available in english. Sadly, the chance that someone would license such a long (and potentially expensive) RPG based on a licensed childrens property is almost nonexistent Crying or Very sad

Nice to know all the main seiyuu will be in it, as well as music and other stuff. Hopefully Brave Heart is the boss battle theme, or maybe some pre-battle scene evolution sequence.

And maybe if it does well, we can get 02, Tamers, and Frontier games.

I could have sworn that Takeru's Seiyuu was recasted in this game? I wonder if that was bad info.

I don't think it's entirely impossible. Saban re-licenced the entire series with plans to air it on TV, so that gives it some slight reason to get licensed. You might be able to argue that the recent DVDs and Itunes releases might help a tad, but YMMV there. Still not a huuuge possibility though.

Id definitely love to play this though...

Such memories... Maybe they release it in Europe (one can hope)

Still, I have always thought that "Summer Wars" was a remake of "Bokura no War Game", but without digimons. Very Happy

Man, I really hope this gets picked up for release in America! Even if it is a PSP and not a Vita game!

I just finished watching my Digimon series DVDs. I ate the whole thing, man! In like, 2 days! One of the fastest marathons I think I've ever had! Sure, I watched Gurren Lagann all in one day, but I didn't immediately watch another 26 episode series the next day. I plan to show the series to my nephew soon, while I'm house sitting for my sister while she's on her honeymoon, since I'll be closer to their place, seems like a good excuse. I accidentally mentioned it in excitement of the DVD set coming out, and he got all confused and wondered what Pokemon it was (even demanded I point it out in his Gen IV Pokedex), so now maybe I can quell all his questions and turn him onto Digimon! Though explaining to him that they came into existence around the same time might somehow be difficult too...

That would make sense, since she retired . . .

This news actually makes me want this game to include Japanese audio/subtitles even more if it ever gets licensed. These VAs are soooo talented . . . spoiler[And hardly ever work as much due to the ageism thing . . .]

If this game was available in English, I would so snap it in a heartbeat regardless if I own a PSP or not!

Oh hey, Japanese Wikipedia says Megumi Han is playing Takeru. Of course they cast someone who was only 9 when the series premiered . . . Mad

I need this game. Like, so bad. I will have it's babies...or...vice versa. Or something.

Anyway...I'd also heard from a friend who follows seiyuu more closely that the original Takeru had retired, so now I dunno what to think on that. Confused Also, surely the original movie will at least be covered a tiny bit, since it pertains to the plot of the show. I'm figuring it's just not mentioned because you probably don't 'play' the first movie.

I'm very excited to hear about this, but I wonder if we'll be able to influence the story at all. I'd love to be able to alter the relationships between the kids. Maybe if it has an "affinity" system like "Tales of Symphonia" or "Star Ocean 2..."

Well, I guess I'd prefer that feature in season 2 more than season 1, really. It wasn't a big thing here.

Argh, Japan, why are you so awesome and so frustrating at the same time! Covers all episodes AND Our War Game and it brings back all of the main cast (possibly excluding Takeru...?) - I don't even care if it's NOT released in English at this point (though it'd still be nice)!

It's official: time to shell out money for a system I'll play a total of one game on... Ahhh, why couldn't it have been for the 3DS? Sad

let's hope Saban never comes without 100 feet of this game...
