With the latest series being an absolute dud in every respect, they better stop dilly-daddling with this property and just animate what the fans want to see animated.

This latest season certainly dialed back the enthusiasm with which I would greet any new Hayate project ... but it's not like I won't check this out, anyway. (Hope springs eternal, etc, etc.)

For the love of god, please be a 3rd season. I dropped Cant take my eyes off you because you have to read the Manga to understand it. And I can't watch it until I catch up with the Manga.

I just want a new anime, picking up after Season 2. PLEASE!

Character designs most certainly need to be improved for any new series. Also, I agree that it needs to take place AFTER the events depicted in the second anime series. Those two things would be a must-have (that and being faithful to the manga).

As for "Can't Take My Eyes Off You", I'll hold comment until I've finished the series. I do have some things to say though, so if you're bored, check in with the old blog over the next week. ^_~

This 3rd series hasn't been that bad. Agreed it should never have been targeted for the manga readers who know more of the story. Yet the storyline that we have gotten is a bit more grown up and serious, its not just silly slapstick.

Its wishful thinking for series 4 to take place after series 2. But I would also prefer this.

To be fair, the third season ended strongly, but it looked like absolute crap the entire time, and only had enough plot for a movie. Most of the first half was absolutely atrocious.

Agreed.

Though, I hated season 1. My favorite was still S1...

i think most people like the first half more than the second half. This type of anime shouldn't have any serious story.

Yep, I'd agree the first half was better. It was more standard Hayate comedy. Going full story route is when the series typically suffers.
