I wonder if Voyager Entertainment Japan is going to be involved in bringing this over?

They apparently shut down the Voyager US office and mothballed the official Star Blazers website earlier this month. However, I've just checked and they've now pulled all the old website content in preparation for what looks like a re-launch.

At the same time, they've got a message on the Star Blazers main page about prosecuting all unofficial Star Blazers websites, which appears to be directed straight towards ourstarblazers.com. Looks like there might have been a bit of a bust-up behind the scenes, so I'm guessing the immense amount of contributions from Tim Eldred done for the official site over the better part of a decade is at risk of not coming back.

I'm only connecting this with a potential license of 2199 on the basis of the Star Blazers website copyright now stating Voyager Entertainment/S.Nishizaki. This has to be Shoji Nishizaki, who last I heard was in charge of 2199, as well as the new cut of Yamato: Resurrection, which we know Funimation have already licensed.

Until recently, I don't think there had been any actual Japanese involvement with the Star Blazers licence for many years, until now, just as a new series is underway.

Maybe it's time for other licensors to take the helm of the Yamato. Funimation got Resurrection (who knows when they'll finally put that out), maybe they could do more for 2199 than Voyager can.
