Of course they did, the only reason I want a Wii U is to play New Super Mario Bros. U and I would buy the deluxe edition (black) because I already own a white Wii system, however I'm really not about to shell out that kind of cash just to play one single game. Did it with the 3DS before (also with Super Mario 3D Land), but you won't see me doing it again with something like the Wii U.

I got the basic one because I think the white one looks better than a black one. White will always be the proper Wii color to me, given the original. I generally don't download much so the space isn't really a factor for me.

you can expect sales to come to a grinding halt now that christmas is over, everyone who actually wanted one probably already owns one

Lol. New Super Mario Bros. U a "strong" launch title. One New Super Mario Bros. was enough for me. They're really all the same.

The same could be said of a lot games.

Nintendo mentioned they make new NSMB games because people love them and they sell well. Can't really fault them for that. They are a good game to troll your friends on.
