The same thing happened with the DBZ movies. Those ended up being delayed exactly a week.

Who exactly is going to redub a show like Yu-Gi-Oh? Given it's licensed by Konami, the company that makes the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game, and the cards advertised in the first series are ancient by this point ...

Even if they are delaying the debut, why start it at Episode 8? Why not at the beginning with Episode 1?

Actually, I checked Nicktoons' schedule for next week on Toonzone.net, and looked up Yu-Gi-Oh! on zap2it.com and Yu-Gi-Oh! has been erased from Nicktoons' schedule completely. Also, for the CW airing for next week, it says, "No episode title", which is odd since Vortexx already aired a preview for episode 2 this morning.

Pretty much. Konami is just as bad as 4Kids so no reason to expect a redub from them. The US companies don't care about the series beyond it's card game, sadly. Stick with the sub.

Actually, 4Kids shut down last year and changed itself to 4Licensing Corporation, according to Wikipedia, meaning this new company will only focus on licensing and nothing else.

Also, I looked up the list of former, current, and upcoming programs broadcast on Nicktoons on Wikipedia, and Yu-Gi-Oh! is NOT ON THE LIST!

Okay? 4K Acquisition Group or whatever Konami's calling it is made up of former 4Kids staff.

So? Wikipedia is user edited. Add it yourself.

I went to zap2it.com just now, and the show IS scheduled to air on Nicktoons on the 28th, however, we can expect the show to be removed from the schedule before then, since Nicktoons isn't promoting the series on-air OR online anymore.

UPDATE: According to zap2it.com, Nicktoons' schedule for Jan. 28-Feb. 4 shows a full hour of NFL Rush Zone: Season of the Guardians INSTEAD of Yu-Gi-Oh!
