Damn, and here I thought their big reveal at '4' would be the Persona 4 movie. It fit so well. Laughing

I'm hoping for that too, from them, FUNi, and whoever else wants to make it not impossible to find some older stuff.

Well this certainly lives up to the "Big announcement at 5pm" they promised. This is an instant buy for me.

The film opened in theaters in Japan in December 2010.

Dec 2011, actually.

Was just gonna say that. Was like "ITS BEEN THAT LONG ALREADY?" then looked it up again. For some reason the page says "Vintage 2010-12-18" but that would be just two months after season 2 ended.

Anyway, I loved this movie and hope it sells well here.

Yes.
I was wondering when this would happen. It will be interesting to see how they handle the contrast between the girls' Japanese and the English spoken by the Londoners. I suppose BangZoom will have to re-dub the English parts; it would be nice if they could get actual Londoners.

Huh. I would've expected you of all people to just import the Japanese release.

I imported the Japanese release for the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie (though I also eventually bought the Bandai domestic version anyway, for the subtitles), but I didn't import the K-On! movie because I didn't have the money that I had back when I imported the Haruhi movie. Also, the video quality of the imported version of Haruhi movie, with lots of "banding", wasn't really as amazing as I would have expected, so I wasn't going to make another expensive mistake.

I just hope the Blu-Ray release isn't too long after the digital version.

I see that yeah, and raise you a "Good Job, Sentai!" and "Take My Money, Please Sentai".

I wasn't sure if Sentai would do well enough on the second season to license the movie, but I am very happy to see this annoucement.
