That poster is pretty funny! As someone who has to constantly get blood withdrawals it's nice to know that even Naruto doesn't like them! Anime hyper

If there was a poster of Chitanda in her white bikini being offered, I'm sure Gifu prefecture would see a marked increase in blood donor rates. The could even offer a different poster of her every fortnight and challenge people to collect them all.

Sure it does; the nurse just has to provide donors with a bowl to catch the spray. Of course, the pressure may be a little low, as much of the donors' blood would be in the other head.

My blood type is O+.
It's the same as Sakura & Kakashi-sensei.
Type O blood is the most popular in Japan.

hospitals love type O Blood donors because it works on all everybody. They won't waste O type on AB type patients.

Type O blood people are bad luck because O Type can only receive from O Type. AB can receive from everybody.

It's actually more complicated than that - there are not only several factors the ABO+/- thing leaves out(are you Duffy negative or positive?) and even blood types that just plain don't fit in there(like Bombay), but even the venerable O- will kill A, B and AB recipients if you don't clear the plasma.

As for "wasting" blood, transfusions are always done with as perfect a match as possible; generic blood is reserved for cases where the patient's type is unknown and there isn't time to test. This both saves the more widely usable blood and improves patient outcomes.
