But Sister Princess?

Although there may be a few fans in here, that has to be one of the worst shows I've ever seen. While the animation is pretty and I adore Horie Yui (for her music and voice acting), the show as a whole remains without any semblance of a story, scores a 0 in character development, and doesn't really have an audience here in the U.S. that goes for the brother/sister romance.

I wish them well. They have marketed brilliantly in the past. But somehow, I don't see this doing well in the U.S. market. Rolling Eyes

Okay which Sister Princess anime series is it?

The press bulletin says "Sister Princess" (the first series), but the encyclopedia link leads to "Sister Princess RePure" which was the second Sister Princess anime series.

I am very surpised by this acquisition. I didn't think an anime of this type was going to be picked up yet. Maybe To Heart. Maybe Kanon sometime in the next year, but Sister Princess? Woh. Anime smile;

Well whichever Sister Princess anime series it is, I hope they picked up "Sister Princess RePure" because I think the second series was a LOT better than the first.

I'm actually quite glad they're releasing it. I never thought in a million-billion years that this title would be picked up for a domestic release.
Even though the original series wasn't the best thing as far as story and plot development goes, it was still fun to watch. I don't think the creators really intended it to be a deep story or anything. Sister Princess is pure eye candy, much like a Satoshi Urushihara art book is eye candy. Sister Princess is just fun to stare at (for the most part). Just like the games, it's all about the girls and which ones you think are cool/cute/whatever.
I hope RePure gets released too...I believe it was more true to the original idea than the first series.
