Damn right. Most are blind or eat the propaganda without actually analyzing things, and for corps its about losing control and its monopoly, power!. Independent and objective research and researchers (you know, those not paid by the corps) have been saying for a while and more strongly recently that the supposed effect of "piracy" is myth, and in the contrary, all things taken into account sharing brings more positive things than bad. As longs as corps get all the control and rip off creative minds, things wont change much, its only when those creative minds see the truth, that things like this happen and learn the hard way that the lies they are told endlessly play only adversely to them in reality. Its a shame many artists (most easily seen in singers or actors) dont have solid studies, many give up school and this plays a significant role too, they are easy to manipulate and dont have solid elements to be -more- critical.
