I wonder what his motivations will be in this movie. Harlock's not a violence lover nor one to stupidly jump into conflicts to prove he has any kind of machismo, he fights for real reasons.

After the Appleseed movies, Aramaki had me skeptical, but Fukui's involvement has me curious now. The faceless drones they're fighting give me a little bit of a Yamato live-action chill, but hopefully there's a worthy, charismatic opponent for Harlock somewhere in this.

I'm looking forward in seeing what the rest of the crew will look like for this film. Until then the first R1 DVD of the original TV series is coming up soon from Discotek.
