I can sit through Yugioh in about 15-25 minute increments, because it's goofy and rediculously commercial enough to be somewhat entertaining, but man, 80+ minutes of it is going to be absolutely dreadful.
My prediction; a placeholder on every critics' mock "worst of the year" list, a few "Razzies" from the Golden Raspberry Awards, and a "Critical Mess" mock-up on moviepoopshoot.com. A lot of people were somehow able to look past the glaring commercialism of Pokemon to see some of the character and humor in the series, but man, ain't nobody gonna get past Yugioh's AGGRESSIVE merchandising tactics. |

No. I listened in on 4Kids web conference they confirmed that the movie is in the works in Japan. And the 4Kids's "adaptation" is planned to be released next year's Summer. Too bad. 4Kids will drop the ball on the Yu-Gi-Oh movie like they did with Pokemon movies. And I will bet that the 4Kids writers will try to add a line saying that foring holographic monsters to kill a each other is wrong. And you know what? In a few years we will have this exact conversation when the Shaman King movie 'cause I'll guarantee you that Shaman King will be the next to be raped by 4Kids. Man no anime will is safe these days. |

Hey, Moal, how about waiting until they actually do something before you complaine about it. They haven't even touched the movies and you're already complaining about how bad they're going to be. Wait until they've been released and complaine about them on their own merits.

Hell, I still don't get why Yu Gi Oh's being used to promote anti-drug use, when the characters in the series either waste all their money on addictive games instead, or get into gang fights.

I seen the YGO anti-drug Flash movie and it was weak. That thing was worse than the stuff rejected by Newgrounds. |

Stuff gets rejected from Newgrounds? No way. To be rejected by THAT site, something would have to be the most foul, inept thing ever devised. And that Yugioh flash thing is great. "HONOR - my anti-drug!" Instead of the obvious, "BUYING LOTS AND LOTS OF CARDS - my anti-drug! Or at least my non-lethal addiction substitute!" |

Exactly. edit: Oh and they DID promote the card game. with this line. Yugi: I wouldn't be the world's best duelist if I smoked Marajuana. I know what can make us both happy. Not doing the anit-drug crap. AT ALL! |

Another one? They have 3 already, well, actually one is kind of a tv special, but still, 2 of them suck, why do we need another one? What are they gonna use after the egyptian god cards, Pokèmon cards?

I've seen a yu-gi-oh movie but it was really random and unrelated to anything in the series. some kid got red-eyes and kayba chalanged him and yugi, and for some reason he already could do that triple blue-eyes thing. totaly unrelated to anything.

To be fair, the other Yugioh "movies" are just half-hour short films that Toei packages together, akin to Disney's "package features" in the 1940's.

i hope they don't mak a movie and do you know why bacause this is waht happend with pokemon as soon as the movie came out it was out of fasion it was gay, iffy, stupid and still is so i hope that don't
