VR Missions = YAY, that game was a lot of fun. Very Happy

No Portable Ops = BOO, that game was also a lot of fun. Not sure what Kojima has against it. Confused

Ashley Wood digital comics = Ugh, used to own the PSP release of the first comic and it was just too damn boring to finish. I wonder how they'll handle the second comic though seeing as it was supposedly released only in Japan on DVD (with the first comic) and actually had voice acting in it.

I'll likely buy this for VR Missions alone since I already own 1 (PSN digital copy), 4 & the HD Collection.

I've never played the series, but watching Matt and Pat (Two Best Friends Let's Play) play the fueled-by-awesome Metal Gear Rising Revengeance and hearing them talk about the MGS definitely got me interested in checking the series out. This collection is the perfect means to do so.

I really don't see why anyone would want Portable Ops. It' quite poor.
It's a real shame TTS is'nt here, but yeah I get why.

But yeah I'll buy this. Why not? I already have multiple copies of the many MGS games.

Says someone that must've played the game himself. Never owning a PSP, and not thinking of owning a PSV in the near future, it's the one MGS title whose gameplay and (perhaps more importantly, for me anyway) whose story I never got to experience fully firsthand. Dammit, I was a bit upset when the original HD collection didn't have it, but at least I had a big reason to buy that (special collector's edition) in that it had a game that I never played before (Peace Walker), but this is kinda approaching levels of BS now. I don't know if I'd plunk down a lot more cash just to get the chance to play the unplayed PS1 version of MGS, VR Missions, and(?) read some Ashley Wood comics.... Portable Ops would probably be the item to finally get me on board with buying another MGS HD set that has games I've already played on the PS2.

Yup, that's exactly what the PSP version of the first comic was, just reading and watching with little to no voice acting in it.

I wish Twin Snakes was included. I got reemed out by people on Twitter stating why would people want it, it's not a real MGS game.

I say. It's awesome and I want it NOW!

Metal Gear Solid 1 is still the best game in the entire series.

Portable Ops was not included because it was never ported to PS3. Even if they decided to put in the effort I would much rather them port over Metal Gear Ac!d 1 & 2. The latter of which is pretty expensive even if you own a PSP.

Stuff happen in PO? Stupid retcons, that's all I remember. If you've played PW you've basically played PO. They kind of tackle the same ground, which is a problem in itself.

Whew, good thing I kept putting off buying the HD Collection. Although, I guess I'll have an extra copy of 4, now.

That's the only one that I've played (and I played through it a few times on my PS. I bought the second and fourth MGS games when they came out, but I don't think that I ever got around to taking the shrink-wrap off, let alone playing them. ^^;

I might buy them all again in this new set.

Too bad Metal Gear 2 will likely have the redrawn portraits, and not Stallone as Solid Snake and Sean Connery as Big Boss.

Not likely, will. It's just the Subsistence version again like it was in the HD version.
