I'm really glad I bought it in Japanese, despite its price ($80) because I'd always wanted to try playing it in Japanese (I've only playing 358/2 Days and beyond in Japanese). Not to mention, it makes KH1 almost feel like it was part of the PS3 generation in the first place, so the HD-ness is actually a big deal.
Since I had never played Final Mix of KH1 before, it was quite a surprise to see all the extra stuff they added in (or changed). I knew about the extra "Unknown" boss and the few other half-voiced cutscenes, but I was completely unaware of the extra special enemies or boss re-colors, which took me by surprise every time I came across them (or they came across me, in the case of the invisible soldier enemy that, despite its size, packs a mean punch...). Just this Sunday, I finally managed to beat the story of the game, after having finally beaten all the extra bosses (something I never did even in the English game), gotten all known treasures, activated all known trinity marks, synthesized all the items (it's 10x the pain it was in the original, thanks to the new gimmicky enemies holding new items you need for synthesis), and gotten to level 100 (which made me realize there's a cap to how much damage for each attack you can do to enemies, since the final boss died in 50 hits or something, instead of two...). I haven't played Re:CoM on this collection yet, but that's next. And in the end, I'll reward myself with the cutscene movie reel for 358/2 Days. =3 |

This is inaccurate. The 358/2 Days game is nowhere in this collection. A movie of the game's cutscenes and these new scenes is, but it's a movie, not a game. |

It sucks that i have a xbox. But as soon as i heard about this game a while back. i came to the conclusion that i will make the change because im a die hard fan and i want this artbook and everything else in the future seeing how this franchise never had any hope into going to xbox. not trying to start a console war on this forum either :p KH FTW

I think they should have priced it at 60$ but made every copy available with the artbook--instead of all this pre-order nonsense. You miss out on something from every game unless you pre order these days, it's becoming annoying :/

Videogames have had pre-order bonus items like art books for a pretty long time. But most of the time those turn out to be more like a sampling of the artist's work. |

A friend of mine told me that in America, HD collections typically have a starting price of $40. I'm not sure if this is true, but that would explain the price. I wonder what quality the artbook is, though. I want it, but have no interest in buying a game I already have for it. :/ |

KH3 is basically Square's answer to Half Life 3, isn't it?
Enjoy yet another remake, because 3 isn't coming out any time soon. |

i think there gonna make another kingdom hearts remix (being 2.5) featuring KH2:FM KH:BBSFM and the same they did with the 358/2 days but instead dream drop distance, that would be cool and than they release KH3 |

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix yeesssss please. So mine. <3
I'm happy it's coming out in September, too. Makes me feel all ten years old again with the original.
All things considered, it's more like FF13 Versus is SE's answer to Half Life 3, and Kingdom Hearts is a casualty. 
I just hope they don't package 2.5 with a Coded cut scene compilation since that installment was only good for the DS gameplay and the Data characters were awful and redundant. In which case, I do wonder what they'll do about DDD if they intend to bring all of the existing titles onto a Playstation console before launching KH3. |

This might be a spoiler, or it might just be heavy speculation, but either way, it's quite convincing: The ending staff roll of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX has clips from spoiler[Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix+, Birth By Sleep: Final Mix, and Re:Coded.] Thus, this may be a hint as to which titles could be on the next ReMIX title, assuming they do, indeed, have plans for it (though I heard it's a matter of sales for this ReMIX title before they decide it's worth it). In all honesty, I think the title left out, spoiler[Dream Drop Distance,] can be considered spoiler[a current-gen game,] so I don't think we'll see it on any HD ReMIX'es anytime soon. |

Kingdom Hearts has got to be the only franchise iI've seen where they put out games but people just scream "JUST GIVE US THE NEXT ONE". Days was admittedly pretty lame, Coded was light on story but good for gameplay, and BBS was one of the best games in the franchise. Each one of them added to the story in some way anyway so... it's not like you aren't getting anything out of it.
Complaints about HD baffle me because that didn't hold back KH3 in any way... plus it's pretty great to have all these back on current gen consoles. It will be great for those who missed out, considering how many consoles this franchise has been on! |

Agree. It's sad that "We want KH3" is all you hear these days from 'fans'. They're doing this so that everyone can catch up before KH3 comes out. Those who don't have all the game systems can finally play all the games (if they have a PS3 of course). I think of it as sort of a recap. |
