Finally we get Tales of Symphonia on PS2... about 10 years later! Maybe theres still hope for a Tales of Vesperia PS3 in 5 years?

And here I just bought my Brother's old Wii from him for £20 so I could play the original GameCube version I've got & the sequel. Darn it bad timing on my part. Oh well, I can still have fun with them till this comes out.

I hope so too, Mass Effect didn't came to PS3 until 5 years later. Here's hoping that Tales of Vesperia would somehow get a PS3 release (or a PS4 port). |

Vesperia got a PS3 release in Japan (I don't know if you knew this- just making sure). It was just that NA only got the XBOX release. |

Yeah, thats my point. People were hoping for a Symphonia PS2 localization a lot back in the PS2 days and it never happened. It happened with Vesperia again this gen, so maybe in 5 years we'll finally see it localized when people have given up! |

I knew of it, I meant the PS3 version never came out in the US, and according to Troy Baker the dude who voiced Yuri Lowell in Vesperia confirmed he recorded additional dialogue for the PS3 version, and it got canned. Here's hoping the PS3 version will get a US release somehow. |

So wait, they're releasing a new [remastered, updated, whatever is a good word for this] of Symphonia? Better graphics, fully voiced skits, and all that? Or is it just the PS2 version? Confused. I've been dying to play the game, but the graphics especially held me back. I don't think we have a gamecube anymore anyway.

At least in my area, the Symphonia PS2 version was solicited at game stores for pre-order, even.
I'll probably get this, but I really hope that they fixed the horrid multiplayer battle camera from Symphonia. We always play multiplayer, and we had to drop the game a couple hours in, because it is not possible to play 2 players, unless both are melee characters (my roommate prefers spellcasters. She pwns with Jade in Abyss). Also, adding in free run, because I hate not having it. |

I've been wanting to replay ToS, and I might actually finish ToS2 this way! But yeah, they better do something to improve the gameplay, since lack of free run makes battles pretty awkward sometimes.

Please God, I hope this is a sign that Vesperia will come out on PS3. Although, having said that, I don't think anything can top Tales of Graces F at this point.

As long as Microsoft has the exclusive rights to Vesperia in NA/EU territories, don't count on it. |
