As much as I like the game, I'm really hoping they reboot the anime sometime in the future with a new cast like other franchises tend to do. It's getting a bit too predictable and samey with the same characters coming back and doing the same thing as always.

Works OK, for Detective Conan and Pokemon. Doubt they'll change the characters unless the viewers really start dropping it.

I don't think this is the big issue. When it comes to the actual card game, a lot of the older cards/clans from the first couple sets are already getting the boot from players due to all the new mechanics being introduced (e.g. limit break, break rides, etc...). Some of the old cards just don't have these abilities and once the liberator cards get released here, royal paladin as a deck will likely become obsolete.

The game is becoming more and more like Magic except the set rotation is not as explicit. At least in Yu-Gi-Oh! some older cards do see increased play every now and then.

I'm speaking strictly from an anime viewpoint. Maybe it's the repetitive nature of the tournaments format, but I'm a bit tired of seeing the same characters and fights every time. Ren and his team, Ultra Rare, the girl who wants to marry Kamui and her brothers, they're in pretty much every tournament and it just seems like they've been overdone with only one or two new characters thrown in each season to mix it up a bit
