Oh crap. I really like these guys. But I totally think I know what is gonna happen. It kinda seems Good Smile will announce the release of Black Rock Shooter TV.

Evidence.
1. Huke, the charcter designer, will be there.
2. Hiroaki Matsuura, the producer of the show, will be there.
3. Goodmile's two highest people will be their, Goodsmile previously releaseing the Black Rock Shooter OVA themselves as their first not toy product.
4. FUNimation just recently said they couldn't get the rights to it because "some toy company" had picked it up. (The Big Hint)

So happy it will finally come out, assuming that's actually the case, but I really hope it isn't a terrible release. I was always horrified Aniplex would release it, but luckily FUNimation got it as part of the whole FUNico thing, and it has since been removed from both FUNimation and NicoNico.

Man. At least if Aniplex got it we would be guaranteed streaming episodes......
It would be hard not to buy it if Goodsmile hooks up a US release with the leftover Insane Black Rock Shooter figmas from the failed Japanese release. I still can't help but feel they would charge a ridiculous premium. We're not gonna beat the 50 dollar release in Italy that even got the left over figmas. Damn....

It is both fun and painful to speculate.....

That's a really interesting theory and you're probably correct. I think we're also going to find them opening a North American distribution channel as well similar to Bluefin. They've been working hard lately to get word out about their products in the west, starting with Mikatan's English blog a few years ago and recently with Mamitan's blog there have been some movement in that direction. Another sign of improvements is the fact that figma Link and Samus are now getting a release here after their original releases were restricted from US importers.

It's an epic gathering and nothing bad can come from this.

Why not just release the Japanese set w/figure over here? It had English subtitles... Anything else needed?

Yeah. They have really been ramping up. It seems Crunchyroll is getting their stock directly from them now. It has led to ridiculously cheap buys(got Link and Samus super cheap earlier this month), but I wonder what this means for AAAanime who has been handling most of their distribution so far. Crunchyroll also uses Bluefin, but they don't have as wide as a selection. Just new stuff.

The scary thing is, I might have actually bought it if Aniplex localized it, but I REALLY rather not pay that price. I much rather have just the show on two discs, and then figure if possible, like the Italian release.
