I wish someone (Sentai?) would license the manga-pack-in OVAs.
Also, I can't believe that this past February was the 20th anniversary of the original Aa Megami-Sama OVA, and, two decades later, they're still making new episodes (albeit in a different anime continuity) with the exact same director and most of the original cast. |

20 years and they still do more anime for this series
and the Animation is great Also i cant believe that i had actually guessed right that this new story involved the goddesses being in a band. when they announced the new ova a while ago there was a picture with the article that showed the goddesses with band musical instruments and i thought ' oh is this a band episode that's coming? ' and to my amazement yes
I wish they would make a new tv series but il take what i cant. this series is defiantly the sweetest series i ever seen so keep em coming

Looking forward to this one! I see Hao-sama already elaborated on why Evangelion movies may have an impact on the ability of Gohda-san as a director, though he wasn't involved in Evangelion 3.0. However, Hidenori Matsubara, who has been the character designer for all of the AMG anime, all the way back to the original OMG OVAs, and the Animation Director for all of the full season, the movie, and the original OVA (but not the recent OADs or the Fighting Wings OVAs) has also been heavily involved in the Evangelion movies, dong Key Animation for most of them and as Animation Director for the first two. His availability could also have an impact on the ability to do a third season.
I know that Gohda-san has repeatedly said that he wants to do more... These anime original OVA/OADs are fine and dandy, but there is sooooo much story left to tell from the manga! Especially the current arc, where some actual relationship development is occurring! |
