NEWS: Thermae Romae II Film's Teaser Trailer Streamed

I've yet to see any of those films. I'll tell you this,I hope that "Thermae Romae" isn't remade by Hollywood. I know I've said it before but it bears repeating. There is no way that "Thermae Romae" will ever work as a Hollywood remake. Yes,a proposed American version of this will have white people in it and ancient Rome was overwhelmingly white. But,it also had public bathing,and we in the U.S. don't do public bathing all that much.
I can't see how this would even work. "Thermae Romae" is better off as a Japanese product and shouldn't be Americanized. An American version of this would do very poorly and is wholly incompatible with American life. There is no way on earth that a Hollywood remake of this could ever work and would ever work.

I bought my copy of the film here back in January, and I'm quite happy with the purchase. After reading the 2nd US manga volume, I find that I prefer what I've seen of the manga story, but the movie's more than satisfactory. I'd be curious to see how long the first film takes to get a US release. I'm slightly surprised that there isn't an ANN review for the movie, since other live-action films have also been reviewed.

What on earth inspired this pile of text? Have you seen a hint of a US remake? It seems out of place in this thread, when the article's just about movie 2's trailer.

Sorry,Ingraman. There is probably someone out there somewhere in America who thinks that remaking this thing would be a good idea. I don't think so. I hope that the anime version comes here. I just think it works a lot better than the live-action version or a Hollywood version of "Thermae Romae."
