That is supposed to be a 2d representation of Optimus from Transformers Prime. He is just introducing the new characters for the promo.

Oh please, why do I always hear these complaints? An Optimus with no mouthplate isn't anything new! Many of the comics, Transformers: Animated, the Unicron Trilogy, Prime, the movies, etc. Get over it. Besides, Prime will probably have a small role here anyway!

It's not new, yes. But it looks still looks crap and they've been doing it over and over lately despite how wrong it looks on him.

I don't mind Optimus Primal and Cybertron Prime because they were not fully bare-faced (or long-faced). If they have to give him a full face, why don't they put some effort into making it look right?

Btw, I don't like Animated nor the Live-action movies, nor Prime...for many other reasons besides the no mouth plate thing (in case anyone gets all snooty). So using those as prime examples (no pun intended) is a moot point as far as I'm concerned.

Call it trivial or whatever, but when someone whose favorite character is the big bot himself has to repeatedly see him be made to look 'wrong' it gets frustrating and there's only so many times you can put up with it....if any.
