Oops. Tell you what; let's make it the Wednesday after, just so everyone has two weeks to think about Persona-related matters.

Happy 5th Anniversary then, Todd. It's been a pleasure following your zany articles about video games this whole time, and it'll be a pleasure to keep following.

The only comment I'm making about today's article is the Cloud costume DLC. Seriously, Lightning Returns may as well just be called Barbie Dress-up, Lightning Edition. XD

I feel like I'm seeing echoes of FFX-2's Dressphere system all over again (not that I hated the latter since it was fun to mix up job abilities between the different classes).

The MGS collection is why I want PS4 to have PS3 compatibility.

Also, anyone remember the old Army Men games, where you would alternate between fighting on battlefields and basically fighting in a kid's bedroom? The new Gundam game feels like a new version of that.

Dont worry Kojima has turned into a dairy farmer. They are trying to bleed MGS dry. There was already a ps2 collection, now this. Its only a matter of time before another collection is released on the ps4/xbox one.

I'm a little weirded out by Hideo Kojima's apparent desire to completely bury MGS Portable Ops in favor of Peace Walker. While Peace Walker is certainly a better game (especially when played with a console controller), PO was pitched back in the day as being a crucial chapter in the Metal Gear canon, and indeed it fills out a lot of plot points bridging MGS3 and 4 that Peace Walker doesn't cover. You'd think Konami would at least toss in a download code for it too, now that it's only, what, $10 on PSN?

The Metal Gear Acid games are criminally underrated, but also not canon, which is at least SOME kind of excuse not to include them in the Legacy Collection. (Come to think of it, are they even on PSN?) As for The Twin Snakes, there seems to be some kind of rights snafu between Konami, Silicon Knights (the developers of the remake) and Nintendo (for whom Silicon Knights was a second-party developer at the time) that ensures it'll never be re-released in any format, at least for the foreseeable future.

(Oh, also: the way Jeremy Blaustein got involved with - and kicked off of - Metal Gear Solid is kind of fascinating in itself. The way he tells it, someone got word to Kojima that he had "tampered with" the script (by not translating it literally at every turn), which led to his getting the boot from the franchise. Somewhere on Youtube there's a series of videos in which Blaustein talks about his career in an interview, and it's basically a must-see for anyone interested in the localization process. He also talks about Valkyrie Profile and Silent Hill 2.)

Might try and enter this Persona contest, if I can come up with enough interesting things to say about my Big Idea (setting it in an American high school) to fill up a mini-essay.

Wish the Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection was getting a UK release. Even asked Konami UK about it, they just ignored me. Hmp.

I actually have not one but two Lynxes in working condition. I may have to put in a bad-on-purpose entry into this contest.

I guess the only thing I'm interesting in is the MGS ultimate collection.
