I can't wait for Genshiken 2nd season :3 oh and Kaiji is awesome. I watched it awhile ago and the elements are entrancing. The OST is pretty top notch too imo.

Kaiji is an amazing series! WATCH IT if you haven't!

Wishful thinking but maybe Sentai or Maiden Japan finally read my emails and actually looked into the series and will license it. Very Happy

My second favourite Japanese cartoon...now available for free streaming?

fangasm

Watched it a while back and I was hooked to my seat! Check it out if you haven't yet, it's twisted and so very unique! Hope it gets picked up...I need you on Blu-ray...

I'm really happy they got Kaiji. I've been meaning to watch it for a while, and always hoped for CR to stream more unlicensed shows that aren't brand new.

OSHIT, KAIJI?!! Very Happy Awesome! I'm looking forward to watching that one having heard quite a bit of positive feedback on it.

I really like it when CR picks up older unlicensed shows. Not only does it give me a chance to watch them without having to resort to other means, but it also might be the first step in generating interest for an eventual DVD/BD release. Good streaming numbers might lead to an eventual pick-up.

Unless it's a really cheap license, I doubt if anyone will pick up Kaiji for home video. For now, I will presume it to remain like all the other sports/competition shows: CR only.

There's a slight error in this article. It should read:

Quote:
Crunchyroll: "We're going to stream Kaiji".

Voice over: "And so, Crunchyroll announced that they would stream Kaiji"

But seriously, I quite liked Kaiji. Great to see it get more exposure.

Judging from other posters, I'm definitely going to have to check Kaiji out.

I am SOOOOO happy that CR got Genshiken 2. I love the manga and cannot wait to see them animated.

Kaiji has enough of a cult following to warrant it at least a moderate success on DVD and Blu-Ray.

That said, I am absolutely STOKED for Kaiji! The anime really delves into the human psyche and exposes what people could be reduced to in terms of life or death gambles. A must watch!

I literally just screamed happily and flailed my arms in the air when I heard that Kaiji is now available in America. Freaking watch it, it is amazing. I'll probably end up doing a re-watch of the show since I've kinda been watching a reason to watch it again.

Hopes this means it is closer to getting a US home release, would love to own it.
