I already watched my BD copy of Patlabor the TV, volume 1. If you are wondering about the video quality, it looks great in HD. I am not a video expert, but Sentai/Maiden Japan does not appear to have screwed up the great-looking remastering job the Japanese producers did.

How and why did discotek get LoveCom? That's kind of a funi/sentai anime, and nothing like the other stuff they released. Even NISA makes more sense.

Is the patlabor just a rerelease of the old boxsets, or are the 12 unreleased episodes included.

It is a rerelease of the TV series, but this time on BD. I believe Maiden Japan is using the video from the 2010 Japanese BD releases.

From what I can gather, none of those companies were ever going to licence LoveCom. The show is from 2007. So yeah, Discotek licenced it because no one else would.

Why do they keep listing Witch Hunter Omnibus 1-2?
It's been out for at least 6 months. Is it really selling that well that they've reprinted it multiple times? Hard to believe...

Can't wait to pick up the BD Patlabor TV Collection 1. Already have space set aside on my shelves for it and the other two collections beside their respective DVD versions. Thought the images from the BD version of The Original OVA Series were quite crisp, so worth the double-dip. Not sure of Maiden Japan will be releasing the BD version of The New Files, but if they did, it would be interesting to see if they release it with the first four episodes dubbed and the rest sub-titled, or if they re-do the dub and include all sixteen episodes.

Hey there!

We actually had to put that series on a temporary-hold some months back, due to copyright issues with the title itself (turns out there was already a comic in the US that had trademarked the title, "Witch Hunter").

Now the issue has been resolved, but we had to change the title to Witch Buster, which is getting omnibus re-releases and will continue onward with that name.

However, the term "Witch Hunter" will still be used in the manga itself, just not on the front-page title. Hope that clears up any misunderstanding.
