A sequel (presumably). Neat! I had a lot of fun reading the volumes that Seven Seas released in the United States. They were great light fun and sort of refreshing. The characters were really likeable and always treated well. (I loved the arc where a big deal was made about wearing maid uniforms, but we were never shown the characters wearing them; I read it as an amusing sort of 'take that' shoehorned-in fetishism) So long as the series more or less kept on course, I'm glad to see it carrying on. Shizuru Hayashiya seems like a swell lady and good manga-ka, so I'm glad to see her staying in print.
I am, of course, a touch frustrated that even so, it seems unlikely that any American publisher will even license the original or this new series. (Niche-within-a-niche genre, relatively long and snarled up in exclusivity arrangements) Perhaps this will one will lead to an anime adaptation. That's probably a real long-shot, but a man can dream. Besides, at least that would be likely to show up on Crunchyroll. But it probably won't happen. |

I want to prod Viz into releasing the rest here so bad. The rights change was such a buzzkill for the series and now Seven Seas will never be able to get more.
