I don't know if it matters much, but I'm pretty sure "Kinou Nani Tabeta?" should be "What Did You Eat Yesterday?" The encyclopedia entry seems to confirm this.

I really like the art in attack on titan, helps keep up the goya vibe

Wow good comparison. Yeah, I think that was also what almost turned me off from Attack on Titan was the art. Yet the story is compelling. I still have yet to read it. But I'm wondering should I read it first or watch the anime then read it. Because I have a hard time dealing with material that gets turned into a film. I kind of felt that way about Chrono Crusade. After doing the book I hated the anime. But I'm going to really sit down this summer and really take a look because I've really wanted to read it.

I really question how in the world Vinland Saga did not show up in the 'most anticipated manga' section. Have these people been living under a rock? It is currently ranked the #5 manga on the Bayesian scale by ANN users and will finally be out in October, in hardcover even. What in the world were they thinking?

I'm just surprised its taken so long to get a release, is there a larger hurdle to jump when licensing a series in English than in french, German, Korean or just about any other language?

@Chrno2 if you're like that (like me) you'll want to watch the anime first, plus the art style in the anime is cleaner and a bit more contemporary than the style of the manga. I love the art though, i was reading volume 5 today and just couldn't figure how the art style draws so much flak but that's the thing about art, its all subjective.

Regarding "WORST MANGA"

Given their distaste for "I Don't Like You At All, Big Brother!!" (Oniichan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne!!) I thought maybe taking a contrarian approach would yield good results as to titles to look for...

Hence why even though I don't know anything about "Demon Love Spell", their description of why they rated it as one of the worst actually got me interested Twisted Evil

I look it up and am disappointed Confused It's a regular shoujo manga, which got two good reviews from Rebecca Silverman Shocked .. so there seems to be some major disconnect going on here

Yeah, I was pretty miffed by Demon Love Spell's inclusion. I find it much less offensive than most of Shinjo's manga (*cough*Haou Airen*cough*), and even less so than some of the other shoujo on the English market. Maybe it was named because someone is just utterly sick of that type of shoujo?

Not much time remained for the final category, but the panelists squeezed in praise for a bunch of manga they'd like to see licensed: Fumi Yoshinaga's Kinō Nani Tabeta? (“What Did You Eat Yesterday?”), Hiromu Arakawa's Silver Spoon, DJ Teck's Morning Attack by Katsuhiro Otomo, Yumiko Oshima's Gou-Gou Datte Neko de Aru (“But Gou-Gou is a Cat”), and, lastly, Yuki Suetsugu's Chihayafuru, which fans can get to know through the currently streaming anime.

Yes and yes to the two bolded ones. Of course Kodansha has pretty much refused Chihayafuru because it is too long, ongoing and esoteric for them. We will probably sadly never see it here.
