...I thought Sailor Moon was 18 volumes. Did they just compact these or something?

I can understand rushed endings in anime, but rushed endings for a manga? Confused

That was the original print run. Kodansha USA is using the special edition rerelease from Japan which is 12 volumes for the main story and two volumes for the side-stories
