Let's hope that Sentai will get the rights to this episode as well, so that we can have a complete release.

Hell I'm willing to wait a year for more of Tomoko's antics. Can't wait until Yen Press starts releasing the manga too.

Yeah, that's my first thought too. The last Japanese BD volume 6 is March 2014. I would have figured this to follow right after, unless they are going to animate later manga material.

Volume 6 of the manga is already scheduled to come with a Tomoko Nendoroid figurine, so that's probably why the OVA isn't coming out until Volume 7.

Has Sentai ever received the manga bundled OVAs? Not that I recall, just the disc bundled bonus episodes. Did they get the one for Mysterious Girlfriend? I don't think so. Are they getting episode 14 for Say I Love You? Not to my knowledge. Be glad to be wrong but just like Crunchyroll never streams these manga only episodes I don't think they end up on home video here either.
Kodansha loves a manga bundled OAD. I'm not sure they give a care about the disc sales, I think they just want manga sales increases.

But that comes out in March, and each volume of manga typically contains five months worth of chapters, so waiting all the way until October for vol. 7 is a bit odd.

So they are basically going to produce episode 13 and can it for a year; I wonder if the episode will remain fresh or if it will seem dated by the time it is included with the manga volume. IMO they should have released the DVD first and the nendroid later, a nendroid is timeless whereas anime made today is fresh and vibrant, most will feel old and stale by next year, most need to be consumed fresh
