Is is true that they'll be getting / have gotten the original English cast for the cameos by Ryoko, Tenchi, et al?

Any Tenchi is good Tenchi...except Shin Tenchi. I've heard GXP ain't so good, but I still wanna see it. Very Happy

It would be cool if they got the original cast since it might mean they could get them back for the third OAV's.

I watched this series and I enjoyed it very much. Very funny. It actually does have a lot to do with the Tenchi universe.

Well, OVA universe. I saw GXP and it fits nicely into the OVA universe, after the 3rd OVA from my reckoning. I hope they got the originals for the Cameo, that means good things for the third OVA, despite Genon not doing it.

It should. It was written and created from the same person who wrote and created the OVA's. Mr. Kajishima Masaki. And you are correct! It is indeed after OVA3 in continuity. A year after I believe. Like the OVA's, GXP is based from his three novels, (not Graphic Novels) that he published after finishing the second OVA series.

FUNimation has stated that they would love to have the original cast to reprise the roles of Tenchi and company. Nothing has been officially announced as of yet though, so its mostly speculation at this point.
