I didn't even know about this project. I remember the Siren-chan manga he did. Y'know it would be nice to see some of Go Nagai's work get published over here. I mean if you're going to do Tezuka and now Shigeru Mizuki, then you should add Shotaru Ishinomori and Go Nagai. I think those two should be introduced to American readers and libraries.

As I've heard it the hardest part is just licensing Go Nagai manga - he doesn't seem to want to license it for the US (but for some reason anime of his works is fine). I can't say I know how to make sense of that.

That sucks, but I will admit and I won't say anything more, chances are his work will offend "certain" groups. But I would love to see some of his works published here under a "M" label. But that is interesting that he doesn't want his work published but the anime has no problem. Chances are I'm wondering if it's artistic protection that he doesn't want his work changed. Who knows, but then again no one has really asked him.

I wonder if that had to do with the whole 'Cutey Honey 90's arc'.
