I wonder how long until an animated PV get released. Man, I hope this series does well to a point it actually becomes a trendsetter for more yuri titles being made thus growing the fanbase even more.

At-least DEEN won't fudge it up, I'm actually happy it is going to DEEN. They have plenty of experience with yuri anime.

Indeed. They do have a lot of experience. It's too bad that they arent' using it. Look at the director. Is it the skilled Junji Nishimura who directed Simoun? Is it Yukihiro Matsushita who directed the large majority of Marimite? Is it Toshiyuki Kato who directed the 4th season of Marimite? Is it Yuuji Yamaguchi who directed Yamibo? Nope. We got Kenichi Ishikura, who directed the illustrious Da Capo III which people couldn't stop raving about... the hilariously awful direction. He also got to watch Shinbo direct various SHAFT shows, so maybe that taught him some stuff.

I repeat again, don't screw this up, DEEN.

Well, Sakura Trick should at least tell us whether it's the yuri itself that's been bombing or something else - as I recall, Strawberry Panic! managed to do pretty well, so it could be that both Aoi Hana and Sasameki Koto had something specific to them that killed sales(I know little about the former, but I highly suspect the latter's problem can be summed up in this gem from a scanlator's rotating banner: "Can whispered wordsTEN MORE VOLUMES bring them together?").

If you ask me, the past yuri anime titles always has this one sticking point that holds it back to be truly the definitive title yuri fans should check out as oppose to yuri manga where I can FINALLY suggest a few. And with some of the past moe bishoujo titles starting to REALLY skirt the line towards yuri like with Yuyushiki, Kiniro Mosaic, and Non Non Biyori this year, this is a great time to strike with the real deal and see how the otaku will react.

It sold a little above 2k per volume if you're referring to the anime alone. Marimite (which Strawberry Panic parodies) is vastly more successful.

I have yet to watch an anime show that primarily has to do with yuri, but after having a look of characters within Sakura Trick, I'm convinced to give shows like it a watch. Smile The characters look awesomely cute!

Site bookmarked.

*Pokes around a bit* Well, at least Yuyushiki looks like it wasn't a total loss.

@Mr. Oshawott: AFAIK, there aren't any other anime with similar character designs in the firmly-yuri genre; Kinmoza is the closest I'm aware of(poor Ayaya).
