Fantastic news. It's always great to hear that things are getting better. Hopefully more hits like Attack on Titan will come.

Be interesting to see what anime sales were for the same period. If the rest of the market is effectively running as if it were me being their only customer, as an example, this increase would reflect my purchases for that period of more manga, less anime.

The anime market is so different then it was a few years ago. So much legal streaming. I wouldn't be surprised to see physical media sales still sinking.

Manga sales will only go up after Hoshi no Samidare hits the states.

I know I plan to buy the whole series.

Viz was the reason America has a manga market and so will it continue to be one of the reasons why it still does. May the market continue to prosper indefinitely.

Good to see that the manga market can still grow despite claims that illegal scanlations, which are more ubiquitous than ever before, are somehow killing it.

More good news on a Friday.

I know I've spent quite a bit specifically on Sailor Moon, Cage of Eden, Haruhi Suzumiya, and a gaggle of Yen Press titles.

Hope it just keeps chugging away.

Well we don't have anything for this year (We will when the next report comes out in 2015-it's an every two years thing), but we have this.

Things have basically stabilized after that big drop (Which was the result of dropping prices-in 2010 singles were almost completely gone).

Don't forget the other companies though. Attack on Titan and the Sailor Moon reprints are gigantic, and they're from Kodansha USA.
