SEGA and Yu Suzuki have sworn to savor the IP for when they return to the home consumer hardware business. Shenmue III is not happening, because it would simply be too expensive, too complex, and too unorthodox on a non Sega platform.

Those Sony fans need to wake up. Shenmue is an IP that belongs to SEGA not Sony. Also when has the series ever been a Playstation game?Never.

Suzuki doesnt work for SEGA anymore so he cant really do anything unless he buys the license from SEGA. Sega will never make a new hardware system outside of arcade machines. And why randomly attack Sony fans? What have they done?

He still does. He just runs his own development company separate from SEGA. He's also part of "Sega N Pro" SEGA's AM4 hardware team. He's on the advisory board.

And you couldn't be more wrong on SEGA's hardware future, very wrong. SEGA has officially completed all paperwork to become a hardware company again and has regained all its home console capital they had in the early 1990s.

They've just completed international registration on their new parent company which will officially be established publicly in March 2014.

Attacking Sony fans? Okay, why are they pestering Sony about Shenmue? When they don't own the IP? Sony can't do anything about that.

SEGA making home consoles? That'd be a novelty, in this age where a console is a "low-end PC in a custom box", a device marketed as a "home entertainment system" instead of a device that is committed to playing games.

Of course, if SEGA hadn't reneged on 3dfx (GPU company from the 90s) regarding Dreamcast hardware they could have been the first to have started the "build a console with "reappropriated" PC hardware" trend. Instead, they let Microsoft take that crown with the spiritual successor to the Dreamcast, the Xbox.

Really, SEGA's been screwing up since they decided to go for a one-two punch of the pricey Genesis CD add-on and 32X. What they should've done is just make all those games for the Saturn.
