Interesting that they are doing more of a direct follow up. I know the other games they've made are supposed to be set in the same universe, but aside from the use of ";" in the titles and the general sci-fi themes, it's a bit of a stretch to say the stories are actually related.

actually steins;gate and robotics;notes did share a character between them so they had more of a tieing together then you would think.

Wouldn't you say they are in the same universe rather than the same world (if that makes sense)

The comments about s;g and c;h being the clouds and rain are interesting. There was also the comment about r;n being the clearing blue skies. It makes a lot of sense when you look at how the stories have been unfolding.

C;H: intro to the committee (the clouds building up)
S;G: Constant timeline, more info on the committee (a constant rain)
C;C: The events of both C;H and S;G leading in to some sort of clash (the storm)
R;N: Clearing of what happened in C;C, we know the others are fighting back and the committee is slowly losing power. (skies clearing)

Yeah, I just discovered that doing a little research on Robotics;Notes, though it looks like it's more in name only. I can understand why they'd keep the amount of cross over to a smaller level though, since it can be rather off-putting for the audience if they have to go through multiple stories that are very different just to get the bigger picture.

My initial reaction to this was definitely, "Why Chaos;Head when Steins;Gate was so much better," but thinking about it, I don't see much reason for a follow up to Steins;Gate. One thing I liked so much about it was how well things tied up, so more could cause issues with that.

I played through Chaos;Head last year. It was a solid game, if not a little silly. I think a follow up could result in something interesting. I liked the atmosphere of Shibuya a lot, so more of that would be welcome.

Was good to attend 5pb Live last Saturday and have the game producers introduce the forthcoming works after interval between all the 5pb artists performing.
