What is with Georgia fandom? The guy who founded DragonCon just plead guilty to the same thing.

Even crazier is that Madox's case was one of possession and is netting him a sentence to carry out. Not that he should be excused for what he did, but it's nothing compared to Ed Kramer who keeps making himself look like a victim of the judicial system even though by most accounts (and even his own admission) he engaged in full-on molestation with minors, and the most he gets is a house arrest that even now he's pleading to have eased up.

Note the violation of his parole was mentioned on an ANNCast because he went to an anime con to help advertise his new release. This guy really doesn't seem to be too bright as whoever mentioned it on the podcast said that he didn't even think there might be minors at an anime convention.

EDIT: This sentence is only an extension of his original sentence due to his breach in his parole from what I understand.

This sicko got a lighter sentence than the innocent manga fan who was ratted out by his wife & got 3 years for owning "obscene" manga.

Good grief, you can't make this stuff up. We took Looking Up At The Half-Moon down off the site a couple months ago, and I'm glad of it. I can't believe he went to Seishun-Con while his probation restricted him from contact with minors. Gives me the creeps just thinking about it.

It's not that he didn't think there'd be minors there. He thought that just having a disclaimer that no one under 18 would be allowed at his panel would somehow be totally fine with the terms of his parole. Again, we are talking about someone here who seems to have an infinite well of self-deception to draw from.

What's really bad is that he funded this entire operation using student loans - the kind you absolutely HAVE to pay back. So even when he eventually gets out of prison, his life is still pretty much screwed over because he's going to be paying back his debts for the rest of his life.

And all because he just wanted to be a voice actor. Sad

That's a bit extreme, don't you think? He was charged because he was caught in possession of pictures, and while that is definitely disturbing, it's not as if he actually put his hands on some kids or anything.

Neil knew about the allegations against him, and yet was still willing to work with him. Nothing wrong with giving folks a second chance. Maddox was just too stupid to use it properly.
