What I would give for Tanemura to visit Australia.
I won't lie- I am very bitter and jealous that the U.S. gets to have her at a con and we don't Razz

Tanemura is a fantastic author, I like her stories and her art is top notch in my opinion. I long gave up on manga but Tanemura is one of the VERY few exceptions (and the only exception in the form of an author, the other 2 or 3 are individual titles)

Always be sure to announce your major Japanese guests after the pre-registration cap has been reached and no one else can register, sure why not.

Unfortunately we weren't sure if Tanemura was going to be able to make it or not till after we had already sold out. We had been trying for quite some time to get her, but due to the nature of a manga artist it was very questionable until a couple weeks ago.

Pretty cool. Getting the guest list out months before the con is a feat. Nice to see "Carrie Savage-con" branching out.

BTW, what exactly does this "alumni guests of honor" category mean?

Well because people had started to always associate us with certain guests (like Carrie Savage or Chris Ayres) we decided to reorganize how our guests were portrayed. The alumni guests are those people we have just about every year, where our Guests of Honor are the new people that had been getting overlooked a bit when they weren't as big a name as Tanemura. Hopefully this way people can notice our new guests first and foremost

I'm going to Anime Detour. Can't wait to meet them. I just have Phantom-Thief Jeanne action figure. I got it in one of those $20 paper bag. I didn't think it was that great ,When I got it. Now Arina Tanemura is going be Anime Detour. She autograph it. Good thing I keep it.
