For such a small con, they sure do get a lot of Japanese guests. I suppose it isn't too tough to entice them with "hey, wanna go to Hawaii for a few days?"

Well... admission fees aren't cheap lol... and we are having new enticing things like VIP passes, along with the Lifetime Memberships, etc...

This is also Kawaii Kon's 10th Anniversary, so I guess we're going all big.

As far as I know, this is Yoko Ishida's 2nd time to Kawaii Kon? I can't remember, as I've only started going from 2007.

Kawaii Kon started in 2005.

But, I'm very excited for the Japanese Line-Up! Anime smile

With such a strong guest lineup relative to the con's size, if this polar vortex becomes more of a thing, I should find a way to this convention myself. I'm still jealous that you got to see Noizi Ito last year.

Our con is held at the Hawaii Convention Center. Last year I think we had over 6,000 or maybe 7,000 members attending. Can't quite remember exactly...if I had recorded the closing ceremonies, than I would probably look back to it.

yes, over the years, we've been getting a lot of japanese guests. I think from 2010, we've had a whole lot!

Yes, Noizi Ito was awesome to have!! I was so excited, had her sign almost all my Haruhi merch!

Anyways, Kawaii Kon will be taking up every floor in the convention center this year, so it's going to be huge! Already, a lot of people go to opening ceremonies, and there are people who still have to stand up throughout the whole thing because we run out of chairs pretty quick!
