Oh fudge yes
I'm pretty impressed. Cassandra Lee Morris sounds like she could pull it off. The supporting cast sounds pretty good too. Ryuji's actor wasn't overly impressive, but overall it seems like they did not botch the dub of my favorite show. Color me a happy guy |

Sorry to say, but I personally find this dub to be horrendous. In my opinion, all the characters have been miscast; no one has a fitting voice in the least.

From what I say in the trailer, Cassandra Lee Morris is going to make a good Taiga. Ryuji's VA was a little underwhelming but I think that is perfect because I always felt that his character was developed that way so the voice suits him.

Wow, the female voices are absolutely horrid.
MC's is okay, but hearing any of the females makes me wince extremely. |

I completely agree. Taiga sounded really stiff and dull, nothing like her character and Ryuji was overracting the entire trailer. Sigh |

So I watch the trailer and thought to myself "Not half bad, sounds like a solid dub with some very fitting voices...it's a shame the internet is going to want NIS America's head for "bastardizing" their anime with the tool of Satan called the "English Dub" despite the fact it's the language they speak". Looked at some of the comments on a few websites and...it's exactly what I thought...seriously guys, got to bitch about everything don't we?

Im so used to the japanese toradora (I only own the previous NIS release of it and have only shown every single anime friend it
 ) I haven't been for the English release of this ever because there's no way to match the awesome of the original. Minori's nosebleed speech was so flat, Taiga's pole bashing speech also flat. Ryuuji voice sounds jarring, Ami bored, and then Kitamura in his single voice clip... well he was the only one I liked.
.... But all complaints aside this will give dub only fans something great to watch as I know several people who flat out refuse to watch subs. |

The voices themselves fit, but nobody sounds like they really care about the material they're in, except for Taiga.
I'll give it 3 or 4 episodes, and if it's not on my good side by then, I'm switching to sub. |

It sounds alright to me. Can't judge based on this trailer alone though -- I mean, the lines were clearly taken out of context and/or badly edited. I need to see them *in* their right place, soundtrack and all, to see how they go. It's a team effort, you know?

Nope... The dramatic scene when Taiga hits the pole even had me sighing... WHERES THE FEELING? I felt that the theatre-like voice acting was simply too strong in this one.
Well, even if the dub had turned out to be good it's likely I would've just watched it for a few episodes, as the original casts features Rie Kugimiya in one of her key tsundere roles... You simply can't diminish the great tsundere goddess in one of the best romantic dramadies that is Toradora! Not to mention the voice of Ryuuji is done by Junji Majima who happens to be one of my favourite voice actors because of one role; Aikawa Ayumu. His screams and yodelling cracks me up even after having watched both seasons four times over... Combined the two aformentioned VA's really make some great performances. Although I thought the entire JP cast was really good. Because it's NISA's first anime dub i'll probably check it out once I get my copy, though if they roll out more trailers/teasers and my opinion stays the same, or even worsens I'll go sub without looking back. |

The dub sounds totally fine to me, but I'm not really familiar with the original voices anyway so I can't compare.

Ha...ha...ha....Good one. I totally agree with you. I thought the dub was pretty good, and NIS America can take my money now. People who don't like the dub can save their money for something else....simple as that. |

Yeah, same here. The voices on here seemed fine in the trailer and hopefully once I see the show, it could be good. |
