Not really, they have recently done this for both pink, and blue haired characters. I imagine other hair colors will be polled in the future. |

Still don't understand Japan's love of Mio Akiyama. Even though she's probably the least bland cutesy character in that show she's still pretty bland and cutesy. Not a lot of personality or development either really.
Probably just another case of character polls seemingly being based around irrelevant factors like series popularity/hype and the characters status on the cast depth chart (Main down to tertiary) rather than individual evaluations of characters role/development, level of detail in the design, personal preference etc. Anyway I have a thing for black haired hime cut characters myself, I'd probably put Kuroyukihime on top of my list for females for reasons of personality, her female fatale role in the series, and how much they make her design stand out in the anime. They really do a good job of giving the character this ethereal presence and making you believe what all the other characters say about her being the most attractive girl in the series. For male characters, probably Bright Noa from Mobile Suit Gundam for forever inspiring loyalty in his comrades and embodying the role of captain so well. Plus I just like how his haircut really gives him that stoic all business demeanor. |

Eh, it basically devolved into "name your favorite characters with black hair that you can remember off the top of your head" from the looks of it, hence why the entire female list is composed of characters from the last half-decade.

Kuroki Tomoko (Wattamote) is in the female ranking! -> position 36
------- Araragi Koyomi is nº 26 Takao Kazunari in position 30 Nanase Haruka as nº 32 Kirito is number 33 Ash is in the ranking too lol (39) Yato -> also in position 39 ------ no Himuro? I'm a bit disappointed (and I was expecting Takao to be higher in the rankings honestly) |

Well, yes. If you cannot remember the character then she could not really be a favorite. I do not really need to have my preferences validated, but it is still nice to see some of my personal favorites on the list. Especially Mio, Azusa, and Rukia. I did not realize that Rukia was that popular. |

And besides, blue-haired characters are shy and intellectual, while black-haired characters are sharp, plotting, harsher and more traditional. Y'know, like Rei/Sailor Mars.

even i am wondering about that cause if i recall her hair is gray , not black. though i am more surprised that neither robin nor boa hancock is even on the top 5. let alone saten from toaru kagaku no railgun is even on this list. not to mention izaya from durarara considering they guy is such a freaking bastard and everyone love to hate the S.O.B. |

I do not watch Naruto but in all of the drawings that I have seen she has black hair with highlights that range from white to dark blue. She is a rather popular subject for fan art on some sites. Is her hair different in the show? Does it change? I am just wondering why there is even any room for debate about a character's hair color. |

Her hair's dark blue but even if it was black I'd still be bemused as to how she got up there. Kuroyukihime would be my number one followed by Nico Robin and Nana Chigusa. Males I'd put Luffy at one, Gajeel second and Akira (Vampire Bund) third. |
