I'm an Appleseed fan, and even *I* think this looks crappy.
After two films and a TV series using the cel-shaded anime style CG, having the characters suddenly look realistic just...... doesn't look right. Not to mention Luci Christian's voice does not match Deunan's new look at all.

Really excited for this...and I like the new look - though not sure on the Deunan cgi model. Hopefully erases the bad memory of Appleseed that was XIII... Blu-Ray better have HD audio and a sharp picture though - sick and tired of Appleseed titles not being in HD on Blu-Ray!

Yea prequel! Opens things up story wise.
Nooo!! What's with the CG? I don't want a bunch of video game cut scenes pasted together! Come on cel-shading can work if you put some more effort into it. What's up with Deunan's looks? I miss the trademark bandana and hey Pamela Anderson's calling from the 90s and she wants her drawn on eyebrows look back. <sigh> I hope the story is at least an improvement over Ex Machina. |

Same dub cast? That's a pleasant surprise! I don't care for Duenan's more fan-servicey attire, but otherwise as a fan of the first two movies this looks undoubtedly cool!

WOW! Appleseed Alpha, looks Awesome. I Love this series of Films by Shinji Aramaki. Maybe after he is done Seeding his Alpha, he can move on to Dominion Tank Police, or do a Team Up. Only One thing bothers me about Aramaki's Films. Where is Space Pirate Captain Harlock CGI? When will it be available to pick up in Region 1?
