Freaking FINALLY! Smile

Been waiting to buy this forever. And had been wondering where it was ever since learning it had even been dubbed a while back.

I saw most of it a few years back on Singapore Airlines. The story was dragging like all hell about halfway through. I already have the Japanese version. I might finish the film one day.

Well. That only took FOREVER.

GKids handled From Up On Poppyhill pretty well. So this should be handled well.

The Japanese edition of Welcome To The Space Show already has English subs, so I'm not sure if I'm going to buy this movie a second time.

Finally!! Congrats to those patient enough to wait. My girlfriend bought me the Japanese limited edition as a birthday present the year it came out. Had to have it after seeing that awesome preview on the R.O.D box! I hope they get some of the reading material for their domestic version. Tons of stuff in those booklets!

Sweet!

I've wanted to see this since I discovered the people behind this where the same team that put together Kamichu.

And although it got some less than great reactions on the ANNcast, I'm still excited to see this, and will most likely be picking it up.

FINALLY. I thought this would never get a physical release over here since it seemed like it was stuck in the film festival circuit forever. I wonder what took GKids so long, considering the dub is like two years old now.

Same here my initial interest came from seeing that the people behind it were behind Kamichu and also Read or Die.

I'm sure the Mexicans will be thrilled to know that this is finally getting released in their country.

If you're at least open to dubs, the one for Welcome to the Space Show is most solid.

I'm quite relieved to see that many others greatly appreciate this grossly under-appreciated film as much as I do. The climax is a little messy, but otherwise this is just a charming character-driven sci-fi family adventure film. Although I got the UK release, I'll definitely be supporting the American release, especially since no doubt there'll be an separate subtitle-track for just the on-screen Japanese text, which for some reason UK Anime releases never have.

Amen to the top poster. I was just on FB today checking my news updates when I happened across people asking about some of their non-anime related releases. Of course there's been the requests for 'Momo' and old requests for 'WTTSH'. But I don't see it anywhere on their FB. So now it's finally happening. Well, that's 2 in the pocket for October, 'Momo' and now 'WTTSH'. Both of which I'll be recommending and picking up for myself as well.
