Actually Galaco isn't new at all. Galaco was released as special prize for a certain competition. The original design was done by Kei, the one who designed Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and Len, and Megurine Luka.

This one appeared in this news is the NEO version. But it must be noted that Galaco isn't new.

It seems that the person that made this article must not have been aware that Galaco has been out and about for quite a while now; thus, she isn't really new, aside from her Neo outfit.

I like her art style. VOCALOIDs have been looking nice recently.

Although this one isn't Crypton, though, so not "related" to Miku and Luka?

No , however Crypton did use Yamaha's original platform to create all their vocaloids. It was only after Miku and the rest went viral that Yamaha considered making their own.

What you on about? They've always looked good.
A bit late to the party with this one ANN as it's been released and used since 2012.

Shibasaki Kou and costar Fukuyama Masaharu, under the name KOH+, also performed "KISS Shite", the theme song to their drama Galileo. She's got this strange effect on her voice at times that kind of reminds me of a Vocaloid (or what little I've heard of them). Great song but they should've had Fukuyama's vocals a little louder, imo. He's got a great voice...
