Hrm, strangely enough, though, why wouldn't they mention that Momoi Haruko is also Komugi-chan from SoulTaker/Nurse Witch Komugi-Chan Magikarte? One would think that'd be a much more recognizeable role, especially once ADV starts releasing Magikarte stateside, and especially given that I believe that's probably the one role she's really well known for on the other side of the Pacific.
And why didn't AX announce this sooner? Anime-Cons.com had mentioned her and Under17 coming over to AX since she had apparently announced it way back at AX Tokyo. Do they really need to hold off on guest announcements this long all the time?

Well, you guys probably had to wait for AX to confirm it to be certain, which is probably judicious. It just bugs me that AX & the SPJA would wait on these announcements, especially if maybe they were sure that Under17 would be coming.

Yeah, AX tends to announce a substantial amount of guests in the last few months before the con. I thought that they were scrambling to confirm their guests (i.e. getting the guests to commit) in the last few months, but Under17 was an anomaly.
Anyway, I'm glad that Under17 is coming (bigbig fan over here  ). I hope they'll have a booth full of their cds (Haruko-san's cds too!), so I could save on the online shipping costs. Now if they could only get Funta  ......

As I mentioned in the (obviously ignored) e-mail to ann about this announcement, she's stated for the last 6 years that I've known her that she prefers to be called Halko, not Haruko. She says "Like HAL from 2001, you know?"
I guess you're not a true fan rektagunn like myself or paranda are.

I pushed Chad and Taku to get Pioneer to bring her here for AX but no dice... in this year's New Year's mail, she hinted that she'd be coming over, and mentioned the details of the AX Tokyo performance to me. Reading her message board immediately following her AX Tokyo performance is when I found out for sure she'd be here in July. I really wished she wasn't a GoH... I'm sure it'll all work out, though. |
