18 years, I wonder what made Shonen Jump to use 3D girls for the first time.

Can I say that referring to actual people as "3D Girls" is making me laugh?

According to the article it's to promote a TV series featuring those two which is in turn a vehicle to advertise the various Jump manga magazines. So they're advertising an ad...

I don't see any CG at all. Pretty deceptive headline if you ask me. Confused

I do not know if you are being serious.

My first though was that they would be CG 3D images, but "CG" is not in the headline. Unless it has been changed?

3D =/= CG
I can imagine the misunderstanding, but the term 'Three Dimensional' has its origins elsewhere.

So there's a live action TV show about girls guarding Jump magazine's principles in order to advertise Jump? Why didn't they just make a live action Bakuman and tinker with the plot a bit to include all the Jump magazines?

Also, there was a live action xxxHolic movie? Huh, wonder how that went...

I certainly admit it is somewhat controversial to say that we humans occupy three dimensions and no more.

The use of "3D girls" here is analogous to the phrase "2d girls," which are girls in anime, manga, visual novels, etc. 3D girls are real girls. I understood what the headline meant.
