But its kind of pretty old. Kazue has hands filled already with BLue Exorcist which doesnt seem anyway near ending and doube could handle two manga at the same time.

If this one-shot is coming from the creator of BE, we can assume that the first 50 pages will be slice-of-life BS, and the last five pages will be the actual conflict.

Yea, I think he was reading it in the manga too. Both this and a one shot that eventually became Blue Exorcist ran in Jump SQ before Blue Exorcist started. I think she took the main character from this one and made him Yukio.
Jump is probably just featuring it to promote her one-shot collection Viz is releasing next month.

yup, in the anime he's reading it (in the manga he's reading a copy of Jump Square, the magazine Blue Exorcist runs in tho). he's also got a poster of it by his bed in the movie. (altho I think the best thing in his room in the movie is the punching bag with the Darth Vader mask on it.)
