It isn't a "Pattern Vivillon", but a "Poké Ball Pattern Vivillon". All Vivillons have some pattern, but this one has a special Poké Ball Pattern that you can only get through the event.

I hope this now means America can get all the previously only available to Japan Pokémon Center Gift Pokémon.

I hate to say it, but their catalog is so bare compared to what they promised, I am afraid they're going to fail. I mean, shirts and stationary and keychains and plushies and such are cool and all that, but they're really easy to get in the American stores and order elsewhere online for cheaper. What is REALLY exclusive are things like their poster collections, their illustration and seasonal promotions, their cool toys (like the mega ring and pokeballs and such) and badge sets (metal pins that come in a frame inside a fancy box). Potentially more expensive, but much harder to find online. And the apparel is cool, but they're so generic. There's nothing like the fashionable clothing I saw in Pokemon Centers around Japan that showcased some subtle, but really nice-looking art and looked far more like something you could wear in public without looking like a complete geek. It's something I noticed about Japanse fashion that I noticed is hard to see here. When my exchange student brother came over, his general fashion sense was always praised and the biggest reason tended to be because of the cool shirts with the cool sketch-like designs on them. Distinguished, but not branded. Expressive, but not shabby.

*SIGH* and yet still I cannot get a cute Dragonair plush...

I also looked for Victini, but the little guy's not there, either! SO sad!

Shame Pikachu sold out. He'd look really cute next to my '99 pikachu plush.

Compared to what they promised? Did they promise anything? I follow their facebook and all I remember them really saying about it is "hey, we're opening an online store for Pokemon merchandise called Pokemon Center." Since it shares a name with the Japanese store everyone assumed it would carry the same kind of merchandise that Japanese store does. And... the store lives up to that much. Plus the preview sales provided a pretty good indication of the kinds of things they'd be carrying. It's rather bare right now but I'm sure they'll stock more soon, especially if what they have sells well.

That said, Kalos starters are nice, but I'd really like to see some different plush Pokemon that I can't get at, say, Target. I'm definitely gonna snatch up the Gogoat. Very Happy

Unfortunately the store itself is US only. Canada is shut out. Not cool. I wasn't expecting Europe or Australia to have access, but the lack of Canada at least is both sad and typical.
